Services at a Glance
Public Worship Resumes
Public worship resumed in the Camelot Parishes following the easing of the lockdown with a Communion service at St Mary’s, Compton Pauncefoot in July. Most of our other churches resumed services with a reduced rota during August. Details of services planned for October can be found below, which include some Harvest services.
In addition to these services, Galhampton and North Cadbury churches are open for private prayer at different times on Wednesdays (details on the individual church pages which can be found under the “Our Churches” tab above). Social distancing means space is limited in our smaller churches, so it is advisable to check with a churchwarden before attending. You will also need to wear a face mask unless exempt and make use of the hand sanitiser.
We cannot do everything. And there is a sense of liberation in realising
that this enables us to do something, and to do it very well.
It may be incomplete but it’s a beginning, a step along the way,
an opportunity for the Lord’s grace to enter and do the rest.
We may never see the end results, but that is the difference
between the master-builder and worker. We are workers, not master-builders.
We are ministers, not messiahs. We are prophets of a future not our own.
Archbishop Oscar Romero
1 Corinthians 12:5: “There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord.”
