Services at a Glance
Public Worship Resumes
Our first service of public worship following the easing of lockdown was a Communion service at St Mary’s, Compton Pauncefoot on Sunday 19th July. Our next service will be a benefice service – the 11.00am Group Communion at St Michael’s, North Cadbury on Sunday 2nd August. Details of other services planned for August can be found below.
In addition to these services, five of our churches – Compton Pauncefoot, Galhampton, North Cadbury, North Cheriton and South Cadbury – are now open for private prayer at different times during the week. For more information see the individual church pages under the Our Churches tab at the top of the page.
We cannot do everything. And there is a sense of liberation in realising
that this enables us to do something, and to do it very well.
It may be incomplete but it’s a beginning, a step along the way,
an opportunity for the Lord’s grace to enter and do the rest.
We may never see the end results, but that is the difference
between the master-builder and worker. We are workers, not master-builders.
We are ministers, not messiahs. We are prophets of a future not our own.
Archbishop Oscar Romero
1 Corinthians 12:5: “There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord.”
