Camelot Parishes

“A family of rural churches proclaiming the greatness of God.”

Welcome to the website for the Camelot Group of parishes.  We hope it will both inform and encourage you.

As Christians we wish to grow in the knowledge of God’s love in Christ so that we may pass that love on to others.  Our prayer is that “we might live in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us”. (Ephesians 5:2).

In this time of restrictions placed upon us by the coronavirus emergency the church buildings are closed for services.  However, the church is the people of God.  In that sense we are very much alive and our values of growing as a worshipper, servant and family remain as relevant as ever.

On behalf of the church, I extend my warmest greetings and pray for God’s grace and blessing on your life.

An Easter message from the Rector:

As Christians we wish to grow in the knowledge of God’s love in Christ so that we may pass that love on to others.

Our prayer is that ‘we might live in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us’

(Ephesians 5:2).

Public Worship Resumes

Our first service of public worship following the easing of lockdown was a Communion service at St Mary’s, Compton Pauncefoot on Sunday 19th July.   Our next service will be a benefice service – the 11.00am Group Communion at St Michael’s, North Cadbury on Sunday 2nd August.    Details of all the services planned for August can be found under “SERVICES AT A GLANCE” below.

In addition to these services, five of our churches – Compton Pauncefoot, Galhampton, North Cadbury, North Cheriton and South Cadbury – are now open for private prayer at different times during the week.  For more information see the individual church pages under the Our Churches tab at the top of the page.
